Step Into A Winter Wonderland, At Big White Ski Resort

Experience the magic of winter on Big White’s new Twinkling Trail, nestled in the heart of Adventure Park. This illuminated pathway through the forest is a delightful treat for visitors of all ages, requiring no special skills or equipment—just an appreciation for nature and the beauty of the season. As you stroll along the trail, you’ll be captivated by glowing light displays that transform the surroundings into a peaceful, enchanting wonderland. It’s the perfect way to unwind and connect with nature after the sun sets, be it a family evening stroll or a romantic stroll with your partner. End your winter wonderland walk with a hot chocolate at Sk8ers and warm up by the bonfire next to the ice skating rink.

Location

From the Village center, take Lara’s Gondola down to Happy Valley. When you exit, turn left and go over the bridge to the Adventure Park. Follow signs for “Twinkling Trail”.

If you are driving, just park in Happy Valley Parking Lot and walk over the bridge for the Adventure Park. Then follow signs for “Twinkling Trail”.

Immerse yourself in the peaceful glow of the lights and enjoy the calming beauty of winter on this unique trail. The Twinkling Trail runs from mid-December through April, with exact dates dependent on weather and snow conditions.

Open to all ages, however children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. To stay comfortable, dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes. Keep in mind that weather may cause parts of the trail to close without warning for safety reasons. Leashed dogs are welcome, but remember to clean up after your pet. Please avoid touching the light installations as it could lead to your pass being revoked.

After the trail, if you need somewhere to warm up and grab a hot drink or snack, the nearby Happy Valley Day Lodge is the perfect spot. There are also heated washrooms in this building for your convenience.

To enjoy this magical experience, guests will need a pass. A regular day ticket or season pass for the mountain includes access to the trail, or you can purchase a pass for the trail from the Ticket Office in the Village Centre Mall. The cost is $15 for a day or $119 for the season.
