After learning of the troubling news of the growing Keremeos Creek wildfire, we at Luxury Mountain Vacation Rentals wanted to send our sympathies and a message of support to those affected by the devastating wildfire. As fellow residents of the Okanagan and northern neighbours of Apex Ski Resorts and the communities around the resort, we know that it’s more important than ever to show our support and to stand in solidarity during these difficult times.
Hundreds of people and their families, homes and livelihoods have been affected by the Keremeos Creek fire, and have been forced to evacuate from their homes. With many under an evacuation order from B.C. Wildfire Services, including Apex Ski Resort, many people are being displaced and are at risk of losing their homes and livelihoods.
However, we wanted to also provide a huge thank you to the wonderful firefighters who are diligently trying to save homes, land and infrastructure, as well as lives. Over 200 firefighters are currently battling the Keremeos Creek wildfire, and we must applaud their efforts and hard work. Thank you.
