View PropertiesAs Canada's favourite resort, Big White Mountain is known for world-class champagne powder, skiable terrain of 1,119 hectares (2,765 acres), and a vertical drop of 777 meters (2,550 ft). With a wide range of easy ski-in ski-out rental accommodations with mountain views, Big White is a perfect winter destination. But that's not all. Explore a range of activities that are sure to make your next vacation at Big White a memorable one.
Big White is home to a whole host of activities outside of skiing and snowboarding! For starters, Happy Valley hosts lots of activities; take your family ice skating and hit some hockey pucks around on Big White’s outdoor ice-skating rink (Canada’s highest outdoor rink!); get your speed fix by hitting the tube park, and hurtling down the slope on an inflatable tube; enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience of dog sledding through the forest; take a nighttime sleigh ride in the snow covered winter wonderland; go for a tour around the mountain on the back of a snowmobile.
There are other (less adrenaline fuelled) activities hosted all over the mountain as well – Happy Valley is home to a weekly firework show on Saturday nights; there is a weekly trivia night in the Happy Valley Day Lodge; there are lots of live music events all over the mountain on several nights of the week; The Globe hosts lots of events throughout the season from comedy nights to trivia nights.

The resort prides itself on being the best family ski resort in North America, which is complemented by the skill composition of its runs: 18% of the runs are beginner ski runs, 54% intermediate, 22% expert, and 6% extreme. The layout of the ski runs is also perfect for the whole family, as the various levels of runs can all be accessed from the same chair, meaning the family can all ride up together and then branch off to ride their preferred ski terrain. After, you can all easily meet up at the bottom of the ski chair for the next lap to keep the family together.
